Directions
From Kelso town centre: Turn into Woodmarket, and follow the road to a mini roundabout. Cross the roundabout into Shedden Park Road, and after 100 yards/metres turn right into Hermitage Lane. The Hermitage is the third drive on your left.
By car:
From the north (Edinburgh/Carfraemill): Take the A68 towards Jedburgh, at the Carfraemill roundabout turn left on the A697 towards Coldstream. After around ten miles, turn right onto the A6089 towards Kelso. On entering Kelso, turn left towards race course. Pass race course on left, continue to third roundabout. Turn right into Shedden Park Road, signposted towards town centre, and after 100 yards/metres turn left into Hermitage Lane. The Hermitage is the third drive on your left.
From the east (Berwick/Coldstream): Take the A698 towards Kelso. On entering Kelso, continue to the roundabout by the new bridge. Continue straight ahead towards town centre, and after 100 yards/metres turn left into Hermitage Lane. The Hermitage is the third drive on your left.
From the south (Jedburgh/Hawick): Take the A698 towards Kelso. On entering Kelso, follow signs for town centre. Cross the new bridge over the River Tweed, and turn left into Shedden Park Road at the first roundabout. After 100 yards/metres turn left into Hermitage Lane. The Hermitage is the third drive on your left.
From the west (Galashiels/Selkirk/St Boswells): Take the A6091/A68 or the A699 to St Boswells. Turn left onto the A699 signposted towards Kelso. On entering Kelso, turn left over the old bridge over the River Tweed to the Market Square. Turn right into Woodmarket, and follow the road to a mini roundabout. Cross the roundabout into Shedden Park Road, and after 100 yards/metres turn right into Hermitage Lane. The Hermitage is the third drive on your left.
By bus:
Buses from Edinburgh, Galashiels, Yetholm and Berwick serve Kelso. The bus stop is in Woodmarket. Follow directions from town centre from there.
